There’s no greater pain than losing a loved one
Everyone dreads losing their mother, father, daughter, or son
But in this business we're in it happens a lot
Iraq is a reminder for those of us who forgot
People think that nothing about death is good
But for some that was their only way out the hood
But for others like you and me
Death is something we don’t wanna see
I once read that the purpose of War was not to die for your country
But to make the other person die for theirs
That sounds good but I’m sure that they also
Have or know someone that cares
In all honesty we can’t undo what has already been done
But what about the future do you wanna be the one
The ones who’s responsible for his or her tears
This isn’t just a job this a life we gotta live with for years
This is a time to be thankful for the ones that are here and the ones that are not
They started as apart of something special and we’re not going to let that stop
So as we bow our heads send a prayer up for those that we have lost
Our Brothers and Sisters that bought freedom at the ultimate cost
