I just bought me a pack of DVD+RW to back up my PC programs and music and when I pop it in my DVD burner i noticed that it doesn't recognize the size of the disc and says it just 0bytes so i go about my business and move my files to the disc and when i got o copy them throught the Windows wizard I get a message saying that please put in a recordable CD or a rewritable CD but Im like my DVD burner can burn anything even DVD+RW so what can be the problem that Windows can not recognize my DVD+RW and burn them???

Also when I chek the properties of the disc it says that it is a DVD+RW Recordable disc and how its all used up but i looked at the disc to see if it has anything written to to it and it is clean underneath so any suggestions???

is your burner + or - ? using the builtin in burning software within windows is not always that reliable i've found out try it again using nero or another 3rd party app to burn and see if you get the same result

yea my burner can burn both + and - of anything i made sure of that when i bought it and i noticed that the only program i can use to burn DVD+RW or any other type of DVD RW that is in existance is Nero. One tricking thing with it thought is that when you burn onto it and you forgot to pu a file on you gotta rip everything off of the disc, erase the disc, and then put the files back on with the new ones. Is that how it is with DVD RW these days or is that just me???
